LE CAMERAMAN by Buster Keaton Accompagnied at the piano by David Thompson of Zalmoxis.
A burlesque film but subtle and beautifully constructed. Keaton plays a young cameraman, in love with the beautiful Sally, secretary at the agency of MGM News in New York. With the aid of an exceptional monkey, he manages to conquer her heart.. Tuesday 26 sept. Cinema Concert. The film is 'AELITA' (1924) by Jacob PROTAZANOV based on the book by Alexis Tolstoy. The film is set in Russia immediately after the revolution and also on the planet Mars (!) where the young and beautiful Queen Aelita, in an art deco crown and a decor between Caligari's Cabinet and Star Wars, is fascinated by the images received by Martian scientist of life on Earth. Accompagnid by Zalmoxis Trio. Entrance 6 euros

Special Guest Steve Gresson (New Zealand.) Trumpet. As a teenager, his life was transformed by listening to Miles Davis. For fifteen years he toured Autralasia and Asia as leader and composer of ‘The World’s Klang’ before coming to live in the South of France.
